It has been a while since I have posted, but I am back, finally. I was working on an article that took a lot out of me emotionally that I did try to Blog about, but only have saved drafts. I finally finished the piece - it is an article re-visiting the lynching of Mack Charles Parker - and once it is published in the paper, I will post it here.
Yesterday while mowing my pasture I saw a hawk I had never seen before. It had a split tail and it was following the tree line that lines the road.
Elliot turned two last month and although I have a new Western saddle for him, I have not been riding very much. I am concerned my weight may be too much for him as he is still only about 14.3 hands.
The two burros, Rose and Baby Bob are doing great, but I may have to hobble them to tame them. The come near me, but do not allow me to touch them. Their hooves must be trimmed, so I will have to catch them, sedate them, and hobble them afterwards for a couple of weeks.
More tomorrow .....
